Which ID to prepare
Tekcash asks for a valid government-issued ID. Common Philippine IDs include a passport, driver’s license, UMID and PhilSys ID, but the list shown in the app is the one that counts. Make sure the ID is not expired and the name and birthdate match what you type.
What you will probably also need
These items are not spelled out in the store listings, but online lending apps commonly request them. Confirm inside the app:
- A working mobile number to receive the verification code.
- A selfie or live photo for identity matching.
- A bank account or e-wallet in your own name to receive the loan.
- Employment or business details that support your stated income.
What counts as stable income?
Tekcash does not define it publicly. Regular salary, a running business or steady freelance income are the usual examples. If your income is irregular, be careful: repayments follow a fixed schedule. See the cost table before you borrow.
Common reasons for rejection and how to avoid them
- ID photo is blurry, cropped or expired.
- Details do not match the ID.
- Unclear or inconsistent income information.
- Too many loan applications in a short period.
Tekcash does not publish its decision criteria, so these are general tips. For how much new borrowers are offered, see Tekcash first loan amount. When you are ready, follow how to apply for a Tekcash loan.
