How to Report Tekcash or a Loan App Problem in the Philippines
Short answer: Report to the company first, then to the right government office: the SEC for lending and collection practices, the National Privacy Commission for misuse of your contacts or data, and the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group for scams, identity theft or threats. Bring evidence to each.
Note: TEKCASH (tekcash.app) is an independent comparison website. We are not the Tekcash lending app, we are not affiliated with Tekwang Lending Corp., and we do not make loan decisions. Where to report each type of problem
| Problem | Report to |
|---|---|
| Rude, threatening or shaming collection; hidden fees | Tekcash (complaint@tekcash.ph), then the SEC through its complaints process for lending companies |
| Contacts messaged, photos or data used without consent | National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph) |
| Fake lender, advance fee scam, identity theft, online threats | PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group; the SEC if the lender is unregistered |
| Unclear charges or a service problem | Tekcash support first (support@tekcash.ph) |

SEC Memorandum Circular No. 18, Series of 2019 lists unfair debt collection practices, including threats, insults, disclosing your debt to others and contacting people in your phone contacts who are not your guarantors. Details are in our Tekcash harassment guide.
Check the lender before you report
If you are not sure the lender is real, verify it on the SEC’s Check with SEC page. For Tekcash, see whether Tekcash is SEC registered. Read what other borrowers report in Tekcash loan review complaints.
